1st Day: Departure U.S.A.

2nd Day: Arrival Frankfurt - Wiesbaden

We arrive Frankfurt/Main in the early morning and proceed to our destination Wiesbaden. (D)

3rd Day: Wiesbaden - Rothenburg o.T.

Rothenburg

We travel along the Main River and Wuerzburg to Rothenburg o.d.Tauber, one of the most charming and well-preserved medieval towns in Germany. (B, D)

4th Day: Rothenburg o.T. - Munich
In the morning we'll enjoy a wonderful walking tour. Passing through Dinkelsbuehl and Augsburg, we procede to Munich, the Capital of Bavaria. In the evening we will experience typical Bavarian “Gemütlichkeit“ at a Bavarian Folklore Evening. (B, D)

5th Day: Munich - Oberammergau
After a sightseeing tour of Munich we motor to Oberammergau, where we spend the next two nights. (B, D)

6th Day: Oberammergau
(Performance Day)

The highlight of the tour is today with the most moving and awesome performance of the Oberammergau Passion Play. (B, L, D)

7th Day: Oberammergau - Salzburg
We depart Oberammergau and visit Linderhof Palace, built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. From here we take the road through Kochel and Bad Toelz to Salzburg, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. (B, D)

8th Day: Salzburg
We enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, including a visit to Hellbrunn Palace, famous for its water plays. (B)

9th Day: Salzburg - Vienna
We travel through the Austrian Lake District, the Salzkammergut, and Linz to Vienna, the Imperial City of Austria. (B, L)

 

10th Day: Vienna

Our sightseeing today: the famous Ringstrasse including the Opera, the Hofburg, Town Hall, Parliament, the Burg Theater and many other famous sights. Of course we will also see the “Heart of Vienna“ or St. Stephen's Cathedral, nicknamed “Steffl“ by the Viennese. We will also visit Schönbrunn Palace. In the evening we join the natives in one of the quaint restaurants of Grinzing to drink some homegrown wine and sing some Viennese songs. (B, D)

11th Day: Vienna - Innsbruck
Today we travel through the high mountains of Austria, and through picturesque resort towns, to Innsbruck. (B, L)

12th Day: Innsbruck - Lucerne
We travel along the River Inn and over the Arlberg Pass to the Principality of Liechtenstein. From here we continue via the Swiss Lake District to Lucerne. (B, D)

13th Day: Lucerne
Weather permitting, we ascend to the top of majestic Mt. Pilatus or Mt. Rigi (optional). The rest of the day will be free for shopping and individual activities. (B)

14th Day: Lucerne - Heidelberg
We leave Lucerne for Basel, where we cross into Germany again, and travel through the Black Forest to the 'City of the Student Prince', Heidelberg. In the evening, we will enjoy a farewell dinner. (B, D)

15th Day: Depart Frankfurt - Arrive U.S.A
We wave goodbye to Old Europe and board our jet for a swift flight across the Atlantic. We arrive in the U.S.A. on the same day. (B)
